“Ignite'' by Denver, Colorado-based Envy Alo is a high-altitude funk anthem for the quarantine age. Featuring vocalist Callie Morrocco, the track speaks to the power of music as a force for solace and camaraderie after a daunting year of isolation. With the power of the band’s collective songwriting efforts combined with Morrocco’s soaring vocals, “Ignite'' lives up to its name fueling a fire that erupts into a half-time breakdown that features and uplifting saxophone solo by Kevin Supina and producer/Color Red founder, Eddie Roberts, on tambourine. Slated to stand amongst the ranks of tour-de-force modern acts like Turkuaz and Grace Potter, “Ignite'' kicks off a blazing collaboration as the Denver-based band’s first single on Color Red.

When asked about the recording process and experience at Color Red, drummer Nate Etter stated “The New Mastersounds have always been a huge influence on our style and sound as a band, and we’ve been fans of Color Red since Eddie started the label. It was truly an honor to get into the studio with someone we admire so much, and even cooler that Eddie was willing to cut some tambo on the track. The track was also our first time recording to tape and the resulting vibe is something we really dig.” Bassist Karl Summers chimed in stating "Recording ‘Ignite’ was a very organic experience that felt like home hanging out with Eddie. It was our first time recording to tape and we're thrilled with the retro vibes that ensued. It was also a real honor to have Eddie grace the track with his tambourine expertise."

Since their inception in late 2015, Denver Colorado’s Envy Alo has been cooking up a unique brand of high-altitude funk for audiences all over the West. What began as a traditional organ-trio has naturally morphed into a powerhouse funk outfit that captivates audiences with their musical chops, creative song-writing, and palpable chemistry. As the band moves into its fifth year together, 2021 finds Envy Alo eager to re-emerge from isolation stronger than ever as the ship sets sail once again.  Envy Alo is Aaron Pettine (keyboards), Kevin Hinder (guitar, vocals), Kevin Supina (saxophone, vocals), Karl Summer (bass guitar), and Nate Etter (drums).
