An Evening with Oteil & Kofi Burbridge, Roosevelt Collier & Jeff Sipe

Announced today, West Asheville will bring together four of music's most creative and talented minds Thursday, July 18 when the Grey Eagle hosts a spontaneous super-jam featuring bassist Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers), his brother and keyboardist Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band), pedal steel phenom Roosevelt Collier (Lee Boys) and local legend, drummer Jeff Sipe (Aquarium Rescue Unit).

Friends for years both on and off the stage, the veteran players are arguably some of each others' biggest fans. "The way that Oteil approaches the bass is so soulful -- he has a spirit to how he plays," Collier explained. "Oteil is on another level."

Whether touring together, or sitting in as a special guest when their paths cross on the road, individually the four have collaborated with each other countless times on numerous projects over the years. But on July 18, Asheville will be the first to experience this explosive quartet performing as a single, collective unit.

"Talk about a lineup," Oteil Burbridge said eagerly. "It doesn't get much better than that."

When asked what fans can expect from the July 18 super-jam at the Grey Eagle, Collier responded with a definitive, "I honestly don't know, and that's the whole point. Anything is bound to happen. A lot of amazing things can come out of a jam like this, and that's what people live for."
