On November 25, Thanksgiving Night, The Gilmour Project will ‘serve’ ‘The Dark Slice’ following everyone’s traditional, festive family dinner gathering. Whether you prefer turkey, white meat or dark, or you are vegan - ‘The Dark Slice’ promised to be delicious viewing.

Almost five months to the day earlier, the band debuted with a celebrated livestream from San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall, which introduced an All-Star Band of acclaimed musicians. Jeff Pevar, Kasim Sulton, Prairie Prince, Mark Karan, and Scott Guberman, took the music of David Gilmour & Pink Floyd to places it had never gone before.

Now returning Thanksgiving Night, the band shall present another multimedia extravaganza, ‘A Dark Slice (of The Moon)’ – performing original interpretations of songs from rock music’s most famous & best-selling album, plus material inspired by Pink Floyd’s 1972 Tour ‘The Dark Side of The Moon: A Piece For Assorted Lunatics’. Also included will be material that never appeared on the album that was released 15 months after the 1972 tour. The performance is accompanied by images and animation from legendary Austrian surrealist De Es (Schwertberger).

With nearly 30 North American shows coast-to-coast slated for January & February 2022, The Gilmour Project will celebrate the exact & actual 50th Anniversary of ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ which Pink Floyd first performed in January, 1972 at The Brighton Dome, UK. They will perform and explore this masterwork in its entirety as ‘Dark Side Of The Moon, Pieces For Assorted Lunatics,’ honoring the legendary band. With their focus on David Gilmour’s Pink Floyd repertoire, The Gilmour Project will do a deep dive into the exploration & improvisation that only Gilmour could create.

Two sets will be performed nightly, one comprising ‘DSOM’ in its entirety, with extended jams, coming to a city near you! ‘The Dark Slice (of The Moon)’ streaming event is a once (or maybe second) in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate the soundtrack of the century from the comfort of your own home with the people you love!
