Goose announced their plans to collect canned and dry goods at their sold-out Goosemas concert on December 21 at the Wall Street Theatre in Norwalk, CT. The food drive will benefit Open Doors, a social service organization and shelter in Norwalk that has been providing support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness since 1983.

Those who donate nonperishable food items will be entered into a raffle, with prizes ranging from limited-edition Goose merchandise to concert tickets.

“During this season of giving, Open Doors is truly grateful to the members of Goose for thinking of all those in need in their hometown and to everyone who’s coming together to have fun and make a difference at Goosemas.” - Michelle Conderino (Executive Director, Open Doors)

Although fans are encouraged to bring items to benefit Open Doors, attendees will also be able to purchase raffle tickets with all proceeds going to the organization. Those who cannot attend will be able to make donations online.

“We wanted to do something for a local organization and felt this was the best way for us and our fan base to contribute to our local community.” - Peter Anspach (Goose)

This year marks the sixth annual Goosemas concert for the Norwalk based quartet, comprised of Rich Mitarotonda (Guitar, Vocals), Peter Anspach (Guitar, Keys, Vocals), Trevor Weekz (Bass) and Ben Atkind (Drums). Originally beginning as an intimate show for friends and family, Goosemas has expanded with the growth of the band. Goose anticipates 1,100 people will attend the show.
