Formed in the fall of 2023, Huck n’ Pray emerged from the vibrant Boulder music scene through late-night dorm jams and impromptu campus performances. Their deep appreciation for Phish, the Grateful Dead, and King Gizzard sparked a bond between lead guitarist Cory Shishik and rhythm guitarist Fintan Canning on their very first day of college. When they encountered drummer Axel Pearson in the parking lot of a Phish concert and later teamed up with bassist Will Berbaum, the group’s lineup was complete—and their thrilling musical journey began in earnest.
Huck n’ Pray gained momentum rapidly, performing at the Fox Theatre for just their fourth gig as a band. Their loyal fanbase continued to grow as they earned a spot at the prestigious Electric Honey and Coat Check “Circus” in December 2024, an accomplishment that propelled them onto bigger stages and larger audiences. With plans to enter the studio in March 2025, Huck n’ Pray will soon unveil new original tracks, paving the way for an upcoming album that captures their evolving, genre-bending sound.
