The Surf Hotel is honored to present an incredible evening of music featuring Billy & Jilian Nershi and Jason Hann (of The String Cheese Incident), Mark Morris (of Rapidgrass), Andy Hall (of The Infamous Stringdusters) and special guest Emma Rose (formerly of Big Richard) in the Ivy Ballroom on Wednesday, March 20th for a Mega Jam of Colorado All-Stars.

Guitarist and co-founder of The String Cheese Incident, Bill Nershi, and wife Jilian Nershi, join together as a duo of harmonies and driving acoustic guitar, immediately drawing in the listener. An inspired journey through various styles and influences, a throwback to the roots of American music, the Nershis have a relaxed way of connecting with the audience through the stories in their songs. Constantly finding ways to make the music sound complete as a duo, unique arrangements and a deep catalog of original songs highlight the couple’s dedication to their craft.

Mark Morris began playing the guitar when he was 10 years old. His music and skiing career has taken him across the world throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Central America, teaching camps, and workshops. Mark co-founded Rapidgrass festival in 2009 with Sister Sarah, Rapids & Grass festival in 2014, and Rapidgrass band in 2012. When Mark is not performing music or skiing he works full time as a music promoter and talent buyer for multiple festivals and events. Mark also books, manages, and directs Rapidgrass Band, and has been the US ambassador of bluegrass at La Roche Bluegrass festival since 2016. Mark has shared jams and stages with Chris Thile, Dierks Bentley, Mike Marshal, Sam Bush, Darol Anger, Edgar Meyer, Noam Pikelny, Sam Bush, David Grisman, Peter Rowan, Rob Ickes, David Grier, and many others.

GRAMMY-award-winning Andy Hall graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a degree in Music Production and Engineering. Andy is a founding member of the acclaimed band, The Infamous Stringdusters, who in 2007 won 3 IBMA awards for their debut album, Fork In The Road. Andy has also released 4 albums of his own: Aquafier (2010), The Sound Of The Slide Guitar (2007), Redwing (2004), and most recently Squareneck Soul (2023) which features fellow titans of today’s bluegrass scene Travis Book (The Infamous Stringdusters) on bass, Sierra Hull on mandolin, and Wes Corbett (Sam Bush Band) on banjo. The record also features guest appearances from guitar sensation Billy Strings on “Muscle Car” and 3x GRAMMY-award-winning mandolinist Ronnie McCoury on “Skunk Weed." Andy has played resophonic guitar with many legends in the studio and on stage with Dolly Parton, Earl Scruggs, Emmylou Harris, Zack Brown, Charlie Daniels.

Emma Rose (of Sound of Honey, formerly of Big Richard) has been steeped in the music scene since she entered this world. Raised by two talented musicians and with a natural knack for songwriting, Rose has spent the last few years fine tuning her quiver of indie-soul-folk songs.
