Born from the pulse of a dynamic bloodline between guitar and drums, Movie Club is an instrumental psych rock band like no other. Hailing from Venice Beach, the duo fuses the powerhouse drumming of Jessamyn Violet with the fiery riffs of guitarist Vince Cuneo, crafting a unique, textured sound that has captivated audiences. Since their formation in 2018, Movie Club has released six albums of original material, collaborating with an impressive roster of special guests, including members of Foo Fighters, P!NK, and David Bowie.

Movie Club's journey has taken them across the nation, headlining tours and playing residencies in Los Angeles and Brooklyn. They have shared the stage with acts like Robbie Krieger, The Shivas, and The Pack A.D., and are known for their eclectic “Psychedelic Circus” shows—a vibrant spectacle that unites local singers, writers, magicians, dancers, drag performers, and instrumentalists in one thrilling experience. The band has also earned attention worldwide, featured in outlets like Paste, LA Weekly, Rolling Stone, and Glide Magazine. Their love of cinema has translated into award-winning visual content, including the music video for their song “Trap Door,” which won “Best Music Video” at the Istanbul Film Awards.

Now, Movie Club is bringing a new late-night adventure to cities across the U.S., inspired by decades of Phish afterparties and their devoted fanbase. With King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard's upcoming tour leg providing the perfect setting, Movie Club will perform special late-night shows in Austin at The 13th Floor and New Orleans at Tipitina's. “Most arena shows end at 11 p.m., and all the fans are still seeking more music,” says guitarist Vince Cuneo. “I’ve been to other shows after a Phish concert in any city, and there’s just this insatiable energy. King Gizzard's fanbase has that same love for live music, so we wanted to test this idea and see where it could go.”

Get ready to dive into the late-night psych rock abyss with Movie Club—the adventure begins where the arena ends.
