New Single "Colorado" from Daniel Rodriguez

Not long after introducing his debut EP as a solo musician in February, Daniel Rodriguez officially releases his new single, “Colorado”. Colorado has been home to Rodriguez for over a decade during his career with Elephant Revival, and his song, “Colorado”, is an ode to the feeling of comfort when homeward-bound. The song may already sound familiar to listeners of local radio stations around his home state, as Rodriguez wanted his community to have a first listen. Starting today, “Colorado” is also available to stream on all major services. Rodriguez has a number of shows both at home and on the road this spring and summer, including renowned festivals such as Northwest String Summit and Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. Tour dates are below.

With over a decade under his belt with Elephant Revival, a transcendental folk band who 5280 Magazine describes as “a pioneer and mainstay of the Colorado music scene” and who announced its hiatus in 2018, Rodriguez is well-versed in the Americana tour circuit. After their third headlining Red Rocks show in May 2018, Elephant Revival had released six albums and performed countless shows and festivals across the nation as well as overseas.

Since the hiatus announcement, Rodriguez has been touring as a solo artist with bands such as Fruition, Mandolin Orange, Josh Ritter, John Craigie, Steve Poltz, and Birds of Chicago, all while building up a repertoire of songs, some of which he released as an EP on February 15, 2019, Your Heart The Stars The Milky Way.

As a solo musician, Daniel Rodriguez turns to his acoustic guitar for memorable, melodic hooks to accompany his poetic and contemplative folk songs. Boulder Weekly refers to Rodriguez’s voice as “a timeless folk voice, deep and hearty, weathered but comforting.”

“Colorado” features Andrew Marlin of Mandolin Orange, Natalie Padilla, Daniel McMahon, Carolyn Hunter, and Darren Garvey.
