Renowned Maryland funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is set to bring their electrifying energy and infectious music to Washington, DC for a trio of can’t-miss shows this December.
Kicking off on Thursday, December 12th, with “An Evening with PPPP,” the band will deliver an immersive experience, taking center stage at The Atlantis for an intimate performance. The evening will undoubtedly be a night to remember, as the band will deliver a show at a venue much smaller than those they’ve been playing in recent years. Nights two and three (December 13 + 14) will see the funky foursome move the festivities to the legendary 9:30 Club, join forces with Virginia indie/jam darlings Kendall Street Company (night 1), Georgia funk-rockers Underground Springhouse (night 2). Tickets for December 12th at The Atlantis will only be available through the purchase of a three night package; individual tickets for the show will not be available for purchase.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has been making waves throughout 2024 with the release of their seventh studio album, Day In Time. This album showcases the band's evolution and creativity through a vibrant collection of new tunes, featuring collaborations with various artists, including Ben "Smiley" Silverstein (The Main Squeeze) and Joey Porter (The Motet).
Looking ahead, the band's late summer and fall touring plans promise to captivate audiences nationwide. August and September will see PPPP traverse the southeast, delivering a mix of solo headlining shows alongside the seven concluding performances of the “Pigeons Frasco Dogs Tour,” a summer long tour featuring ascending jam quintet Dogs in a Pile and raucous rockers Andy Frasco and The U.N. Following a pair of festival appearances at Las Vegas, NV’s Bender Jamboree and Ocean City, MD’s Oceans Calling, the band will ring in Halloween at Indianapolis’ Vogue Theatre, before embarking for a series of fall tour dates through November.
Tickets for all previously announced PPPP shows are on sale now. Sales for the December shows commence with a VIP & Seated Artist Presale running Tuesday, August 20 at 10 am ET through Thursday, August 22 at 10 pm ET with the password ‘FLOCK’. Venue Presales will take place on Thursday, August 22 from 10 am to 10 pm ET, followed by the Public On Sale starting on Friday, August 23 at 10 am ET.
