SweetWater Brewing Company (“SweetWater Brewing” or “SweetWater”), the largest craft brewer in Atlanta and the Southeast and a subsidiary of Tilray Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: TLRY and TSX: TLRY), is setting a new standard for music festival sustainability with an innovative lineup of eco-friendly initiatives for its 20th-anniversary 420 Fest.

The highly anticipated three-day event, taking place April 18-20 at Atlanta’s Historic Pullman Yards, is held annually around Earth Day to celebrate the planet through music, local brews, and a strong emphasis on reducing environmental impact.

SweetWater will once again donate $10 from every ticket sold to the Waterkeeper Alliance, a nonprofit that protects local waterways. Tickets are available now.

SweetWater 420 Fest is also partnering with Greenway Festival Management Group, which aims to make Atlanta’s outdoor festivals more sustainable, on the following activations:

Habitat for Humanity’s “Million Can Program”: Repurposing 150,000 recycled cans from the festival to help fund the construction of a new home built to green standards.

CompostNow Partnership: Requiring vendors to adhere to composting and recycling practices, transforming all food waste into usable garden soil.

Energy Offset: Offsetting 100% of sound and lighting energy consumption with green energy credits.

Green Transportation: Promoting walkability, public transit options, and bike ridership, including the addition of an e-bike charging station and a 500-1,000 bike valet area.

The Planet 420 Program: Educating and inspiring attendees through partnerships with nonprofits like Waterkeeper Alliance, support for local green entrepreneurs, an educational space, composting and recycling job opportunities, and demonstrations of eco-friendly technologies and products.

In the lead-up to the festival, SweetWater and Greenway Festival Management Group will continue to announce additional sustainability activations.

“As we celebrate two decades of music, beer, and culture, SweetWater 420 Fest is staying true to its roots by recommitting to our core values – including sustainability,” said Ty Gilmore, President of Tilray Beverages, North America. “This year’s festival takes our commitment to the next level with initiatives that not only reduce our environmental impact but also inspire our community to embrace greener practices. SweetWater is here for a good time, and we want Mother Earth to be here for a long time.”

By incorporating sustainable practices into every facet of the festival, SweetWater 420 Fest aims to be a model for other large-scale events, leaving a smaller ecological footprint while educating and engaging attendees.

“We’re thrilled to partner on events with environmentally conscious companies like SweetWater Brewing, who really ‘walk the walk,’” said Walter Brown, Co-Founder of Greenway Festival Management Group. “SweetWater 420 Fest’s ambitious goals of 100% composting, recycling, and energy offset showcase how festivals can lead the charge in sustainability and inspire the festival industry to prioritize alternative transportation and environmental responsibility while creating memorable experiences for attendees.”
