THEM DIRTY ROSES LAY THEIR CARDS ON THE TABLE WITH NEW SINGLE “A BAD HAND”

Southern rock band Them Dirty Roses are laying their cards on the table with the release of their new single, “A Bad Hand,” today. Co-written by all four members—brothers James and Frank Ford, and childhood best friends Ben Crain and Andrew Davis—the high-energy single is a twist on high stakes and heartbreak. “A Bad Hand” is available at digital retailers everywhere today: here.

"Recording 'A Bad Hand' was a blast. We aimed to mix the energy of Southern rock with the storytelling of outlaw country and throw a subtle nod to the classic rockabilly sound. It’s got that punchy, foot-stomping rhythm that gets the crowd moving, but with lyrics that tell a deeper story,” said Andrew Davis, Lead Guitarist.

Featured by Whiskey Riff, Country vs. Metal, Raised Rowdy, Loudwire, Saving Country Music, AL.com, and Substream, Them Dirty Roses have toured heavily, making a name for themselves with "performances that are fiercely original" (Shutter 16 Magazine). Signed to WME, the band is touring nationwide (tour dates below) and will bring their Southern rock sound to Nashville with their recently announced show at Mercy Lounge on Oct. 4th. Tickets are on sale now: here.

Most recently, Them Dirty Roses teamed up with renowned metal fabricator Alicia Butty, who is featured in the music video for their previously-released song “Birmingham Steel,” paying tribute to the Birmingham steel industry and its workers. View the official music video here.

“A Bad Hand” is the follow-up to their previously-released singles “Birmingham Steel” and “Candle In The Dark,” both off a forthcoming EP (to be announced). This EP will follow their previously-released, self-titled album, Them Dirty Roses, and Lost In The Valley of Hate & Love Vol. 1.

About Them Dirty Roses

Bred in ‘Bama clay, Them Dirty Roses grew up together and eventually dedicated an era to building a brotherhood as “warrior musicians out to capture Southern rock glory and immortality, or die trying” (Saving Country Music). The band spent time living together in Nashville under the same roof while building a loyal legion of fans and relentlessly touring across the country. The result was a chemistry akin to some of the most well-known, legendary Southern rock bands and a story built independently on grit and sweat—garnering over one million monthly Spotify listeners, over ninety million streams, and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds at their live shows.

Their powerful wall of sound, characterized by fiery riffs, soaring guitar solos, harmonized backing vocals, and songs led by Lead Vocalist James Ford, offers crowds a sense of authenticity and sincerity—a mix of sharp songwriting and down-home swagger, of melody and muscle, of grooves and Gibson guitars. Their music nods to the legends of the South who came before them. As road warriors, their “unmistakable Southern down-home rock and roll sound” (Gadsden Messenger) has catapulted them to some of the most coveted stages at major festivals, including ShipRocked, LJT Fest, and Gulf Coast Jam.
