Southern rock torchbearers, Them Dirty Roses, comprised of brothers James and Frank Ford alongside childhood best friends Ben Crain and Andrew Davis, are thrilled to announce their highly anticipated EP Lost In The Valley Of Hate & Love Vol 2, set for release in May 2025. The EP retains the autobiographical depth of its predecessor while blending Southern rock with heartfelt tributes to the South, Birmingham’s steel legacy, and multi-generational family ties. Them Dirty Roses continue to deliver the high-octane sound that has defined their live performances, all while exploring new sonic territory.
In celebration of the upcoming release, the band has dropped their new single, "All Good In The Neighborhood," available now across all streaming platforms. The track was premiered exclusively by Rolling Stone, which praised the band as "the Southern rock band you’ve been waiting for." Listen to "All Good In The Neighborhood" here.
Drummer Frank Ford reflected on the creation process, saying, "There’s a little bit of everything from rock to country in this album. Each song has its own kind of sound and can stand on its own. We were able to work with some amazing writers like Phillip White and James LeBlanc at the legendary FAME studios where some of my favorite songs of all time were recorded. It really felt like we tapped into the magic of the place."
Lead guitarist Andrew Davis added, "Our longtime fans have seen and heard us grow up in real time. This dual-EP project is the canvas on which those stories are painted. From desire, to heartbreak, to anger... everything is real and visceral."
The upcoming EP ushers in a sonic evolution for Them Dirty Roses, with standout tracks recorded across the South, including at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Songs like "Candle In The Dark" and "Birmingham Steel" (a tribute to Alabama’s steel industry) showcase the band’s powerful wall of sound, a blend of driving riffs, heartfelt lyrics, and Southern authenticity.
The new single, "All Good In The Neighborhood," tells the gripping tale of a man in trouble after leaving his hometown in Etowah County. He reflects on his father’s advice and fantasizes about returning to simpler Alabama life while sitting in a Tallahassee jail. This track follows the release of "A Bad Hand," "Candle In The Dark," and "Birmingham Steel."
Having garnered attention from Whiskey Riff, Country vs. Metal, Raised Rowdy, Loudwire, AL.com, and Saving Country Music, Them Dirty Roses are known for their fiery riffs, soaring guitar solos, and raw, down-home swagger. With nearly one million monthly Spotify listeners and over 186 million streams, the band has earned a devoted following and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds at their live shows.
Catch Them Dirty Roses live as they bring their Southern rock sound to Nashville’s The Mil at Cannery Hall on October 4th, 2024. Tickets are available now at Prekindle.
