East Bay funk, soul, and R&B legends Tower of Power are hot on the heels of the release of their first full-length holiday album It's Christmas. The group is currently embarking on their 'Holidays and Hits Tour' which has seen packed out houses across the country and will conclude this weekend with two California dates in La Mirada on Friday and the group's hometown of Oakland on Saturday, and makes its final stop in Tulalip Bay, Washington on Sunday. As the holidays near, Tower of Power has released a visualizer of the beloved Hanukkah song "Maoz Tzur," produced by Chime Interactive's Creative Director Jon Luini and Visual Effects & Edits by Mark Thornton. Originally a Hebrew poem, “Maoz Tzur” has become a staple in optimistic Hanukkah repertoire which translates into “Rock of the Ages.” The song serves as a reminder that regardless of hardships, there is strength and joy found in community.
