Historic Thalia Hall, nestled in the heart of Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, hosted an unforgettable night of music when the renowned jam band Spafford played on Saturday. This show marked the end of their extensive 2024 winter tour and the packed out crowd was treated to a fantastic closer. The night began with a rousing rendition of original song "Ain't That Wrong" that set the pace for the rest of the evening as Spafford sent it to the next level in this fourteen minute banger.
The second set was full of insanity as Spafford put together a massive musical sandwich featuring originals "In the Eyes of Thieves> "Electric Taco Stand"> "Dis Go in 5" > "Anyone" > "Electric Taco Stand"> "In the Eyes of Thieves" in addition to the Demi Lovato cover "Anyone" added to this mix. The encore brought out special guest Jason Singer to play saxophone for the rock ballad "Legend" as well as the dusted off Todd Rundgren cover of "Bang The Drum All Day," last played in 2016. This fun and unique rendition featured guitarist Brian Moss on the drum kit and drummer Nick Tkachyk front and center on lead vocals.
