Severn Records announces a March 9 release date for They Call Me Mud, the new CD from singer Mud Morganfield, son of the legendary blues icon, Muddy Waters. Produced by Mud Morganfield and Rick Kreher (who also plays guitar on the CD), They Call Me Mud was recorded at Joyride Studios in in Mud’s Chicago hometown. Mud penned 10 of the album’s 12 songs, with two others coming from his illustrious father’s catalog, “Howling Wolf” and “Can’t Get No Grinding.”

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, January 25,26,27, the three soldout Tedeschi Trucks Band Chicago concerts marks a triumphant return to the windy city very the same week that Chicago's WXRT radio announced TTB in the top ten list of best 2017 concerts. TTB was ranked at number 5 by the listener's poll for their three sold out concerts the previous year, to the week. There is no reason to dismiss that TTB's 2018 run will not make the top ten list again. Chicago fans love TTB's big sound and well crafted jams.

The NAMM show held each year in Anaheim, California always brings a multitude of rock veterans to the area who end up playing at various venues across the county. The first night of this year's show was no exception with concerts cropping up all across the region. But the sold-out show at The Observatory in Santa Ana featured the most impressive lineup of veteran rockers, coming together for the annual Dimebash.
