Prolific New Orleans bassist George Porter Jr., will be releasing a brand new instrumental album entitled Porter’s Pocket with his longstanding quartet the Runnin’ Pardners available via Color Red on February 7, 2025. Porter Jr is joined by his longtime collaborator keyboardist Michael Lemmler (Jubilation, TriFunctA), drummer Terrence Houston (The Funky Meters, Toubab Krewe), and newest member Chris Adkins (Raphael Saadiq, Mark Broussard) on guitar.

Topping off a year of high profile festival plays, coast-to-coast tours, and the launch of a new on-demand platform, future funk all-stars Lettuce have released a new digital single entitled “Monorail 3000.” Captured during the sessions for the band’s high-octane 2012 release Fly, “Monorail 3000” pays homage to “The Godfather of Soul,” James Brown, with a pocket rhythm section, hypnotic grooves, and sultry horn lines. Elvis Costello and Steve Nieve have announced a 15-date tour, opening in Easton, PA, on February 19, 2025. The tour includes stops at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, NJ; the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY; and two nights at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY.

The tour will also visit Wilmington, DE; Beverly, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Montclair, NJ; Ithaca and Buffalo, NY; and Ann Arbor, MI, showcasing selections from a songbook that spans fifty years and countless depths.

The highly anticipated, sold-out “SOULSHINE” benefit concert, supporting relief and recovery efforts in Western North Carolina and Florida after Hurricanes Helene and Milton, will now be available worldwide via a livestream.

Nada Surf announced the second leg of their North American tour launching April 15, 2025 in Baltimore, MD.
