Montana’s most unique music festival, The Pirate Party, has staked its claim within the national music festival circuit in 2017 with a bigger venue, bigger vision, and a lineup of internationally acclaimed musical artists to gather in the northwest this July 21st through 24th. This four-day event, taking place at the historic Lincoln’s Silver Dollar Inn in Haugan, Montana, combines live music, art, camping, workshops, and mountain activities in a pirate-y fashion fit for the high seas.
The Interstellar Boys are first and foremost borne from a collection of friendships. Musical friendships that date back as far as 30 years. Todd Nance, Daniel Hutchens, Jerry Joseph, Sam Holt, John Neff and Jon Mills have shared stages and songs over the years and now form a new band that draws on those decades of collaboration. Todd Nance brings undeniable experience and depth to the band as a founding member/drummer/songwriter of Widespread Panic.

Details for the eighth annual MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE, the world's premier hard rock/heavy metal experience at sea, have been announced. The John Hartford Memorial Festival is proud to announce the winner of their 2017 John Hartford Songwriter’s Challenge. 16 year old Micahan Boney from Claxton, GA, won first place with her song “Gone Too Soon”. A song about how the late Father of Newgrass, John Hartford inspired her.
Over the course of the last week, filmmakers, writers, and fans gathered in Midtown Manhattan for the city’s 8th Annual NYC Independent Film Festival (NYCIndieFF). The festival hosted screenings of over 250 films, spanning the range of documentaries and comedies to short films and animations. Dispersed throughout the film screenings were networking events, panels and seminars that festival-goers could attend to learn about topics such as crowdfunding and music licensing.
