Music and Event Management Inc. announced today the initial lineup with over 30 acts for the 16th-annual Midpoint Music Festival (MPMF), set to take place September 23-25, 2016 in the Eastern part of Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, next to the Main street entertainment district near 12^th and Sycamore streets.

I was very eager to return to Music on the Mesa in Taos, June 3-5.  The venue itself is stunning, with vitas of the mountains right past what I call the cornucopia main stage. The weather usually is cooler up at 8,000 feet in Taos than in other parts of the state and the night sky, even with concert lighting, is breathtaking.

I had the privilege of attending my favorite festival of the year for the fifth year in a row, and I am here to tell you about the best place on Earth. I would travel across several oceans to get to this festival. It is one that if you haven’t experienced, it should be placed on your bucket list. I’d like to start this tale of Dark Star Jubilee, held at Legend Valley, in Thornville Ohio, each Memorial Day weekend, with some words from the band, written in each schedule passed out:

Eric Krasno has announced tour dates in support of his forthcoming solo album, 'Blood From A Stone,' due July 8 on his own record label, Feel Music/Round Hill. Summer in the city begins on July 4^th, Louis Armstrong’s traditional birthday, when the Louis Armstrong House Museum kicks off its signature summer concert series Hot Jazz / Cool Garden now in its 10^th year.  For three days this summer, hot jazz is served up with red beans ’n rice in the Armstrongs’ Japanese inspired garden.  Birthday cake will be served on July 4^th and Hot Jazz / Cool Garden series subscribers will enjoy a soul food luncheon too.

The Great Divide, the debut album from modern indie-folk band National Park Radio will be released on July 29th via The Edgewater Music Group. The Great Divide is a timeless and honest collection of original songs which reflect on family, the need to explore and a love for the outdoors. Although the band uses mostly acoustic instrumentation, their melodies are filled with infectious pop sensibilities.
