What if you could travel back to the summer of 1969 to enjoy the music and counterculture-era with better weather than Woodstock and a safer environment than Altamont?

Martin Barre is returning to North America to perform more shows this April.  Look for concerts in New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. More dates this fall in September and October.  Some of them are confirmed below.

American folk and protest music legend Woody Guthrie has influenced generations of singer-songwriters. His optimistic vision of the United States was as a land of opportunity, equality, and freedom for all. Though hundreds of his treasured songs have been preserved, they still need to be continued through the vitality of living musicians. To the joy of the folk, country, bluegrass and Americana community, iconic vocalist and guitarist Del McCoury took on the bold task of upholding Guthrie’s legacy.

 After a month off to take care of some business (the label changed distribution), Real Gone comes roaring back in May with a release schedule with something for just about every music lover. Two long out-of-print live albums from the Cannonball Adderley Quintet—both produced by the legendary David Axelrod—debut on CD, offering the tenor sax titan’s trademark blend of free jazz, fusion, R&B and always a whole lot of soul.

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood have announced the departure of original bassist, Mark “Muddy” Dutton. His final show with the band will be March 19 at the Rendezvous Festival in Jackson Hole, WY.

"It has been a great adventure. I wish my brothers a long and beautiful journey, as I leave with pride and fond memories," says Dutton. "I’m looking forward to the rise of The CRB as they continue to bring the old world to the new."

Robinson adds: "It's been a great 5 years. We wish Muddy all the best in his future."

Deadhead Productions has just revealed the final round of artist additions to their 7th annual Highberry Music Festival, adding 14 bands to the billing. The announcement included the addition of Buckethead, who is returning to the festival circuit for the first time since 2012. Others added include Highberry veterans Spoonfed Tribe, the 1 oz. Jig, and Smar T Jones.

Lonesome River Band will kick off today's new album release, Bridging the Tradition (Mountain Home Music) with three special performances this weekend.

Rising funk act Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have just announced a special 4:20 show at Charlottesville, Virginia's Jefferson Theater with People's Blues of Richmond and Disco Risqué. The date falls in the middle of the band's extensive Pleasure Tour supporting their new album due out April 1st. Pleasure Tour kicks of tonight in Morgantown, WV at Mainstage Morgantown.
