The Dam Mountain Jam is a new night of music that happens every Thursday at Cactus Jack's Saloon in downtown Evergreen, starting at 9:00. It began as a few friends looking for an outlet for their songwriting and acoustic music, and has quickly grown into the best thing going in Evergreen - a crowd of friends and music lovers keeping things cozy, good beer and good vibes from the friendly folks at Jack's, and best of all, sweet music pouring from the stage all night long, from the simple and soulful to the rockin' and rowdy.
STIL (Songs that I Like) is a new original rock band showcasing the music of notorious kelowna musician Jim Le Guilloux. Formed in Jan.'05, this all-star line-up consists of some of kelowna's most talented players.
Sloppy Roast Beef was formed in the summer of 2002 when six close friends decided to take their guitar driven original rock and roll sound out of the basement and into the public eye.
At the time of "The Beef's" inception, three of the band's members, A.J. Davidson, Michael Moore, and Zac Davidson, were playing with the group "Jo Digs" while the other three members, Andrew Teague, Nick Edwards, and Derek Lewis, played in the band known as "Sweet Automatic".
Built around the award-winning, mature songwriting of Kevin Higgins, and representing Texas with their original southern-rockin', genre-bendin' “Farm-to-Market Rock'n'Roll” style of music, The Dust Devils once again state their independence from hype and trends. With the 2007 release of their third album, Change in the Weather, (Little Train Records), the Dust Devils combine diversity with raw talent, allowing them to move about freely on the musical landscape.
The Miltones specialize in a brand of improvisational, groove and jamming rock and roll that have made them one of the premiere and most highly regarded live musicians in the Colorado area.
