All Good Music Festival made its return to Legend Valley the weekend of July 18th-21st with what has now become an annual star-studded lineup of jamband and EDM favorites. The inaugural White River Arts & Music Festival (WARMfest) today announced Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue as part of their three-day lineup during the Labor Day weekend festival August 31-September 2 at Broad Ripple Park in Indianapolis. Live music will be featured throughout the entire run of the event on five stages and will include a mix of national, regional and local talent.Trombone Shorty is a trombone and trumpet player originally from New Orleans with a background in jazz, funk and rap music.
Shoe Fest 2013 will be headlined by Chicago's own Cornmeal. The lineup also features The Drew Emmitt Band of Leftover Salmon, Floodwood with Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico of moe. and Artist at Large Allie Kral. Shoe Fest is in its 3rd year and it will take place on September 6-8, 2013 at Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see in Manteno, IL. There will be two stages of music with an emphasis on roots music.The full festival line up includes some of Chicago's finest bands, The Giving Tree Band, Family Groove Company, Henhouse Prowlers and many more.
Last weekend Louisville, Kentucky hosted the eleventh annual Forecastle Festival on the banks of the Ohio River. Over 75,000 fans, four stages, 65 musical acts and one festival evacuation made for an exciting weekend. With live music comes the element of surprise and it was plentiful this year. Unfortunate cancellations were made by acts Animal Collective, Dan Deacon, and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings due to illness and the threat of powerful thunderstorms shifted the schedules during two day of the event.

After a much needed “golden slumber”, I started Saturday off in the best way possible… with a hot shower.
