The 22nd Annual Rhythm & Roots Festival will feature alt-country band, Son Volt on Friday, Aug. 30, fan favorite, The Mavericks on Saturday, Aug. 31 and acoustic rockers Railroad Earth on Sunday, Sept. 1.

In just a couple of months, on July 18-21, North Plains, Oregon will see the return of one of the country’s premier bluegrass and roots music festivals, Northwest String Summit. Hosted every year by presiding band Yonder Mountain String Band, the four-day event will see top-billing sets from other veteran performers like The Infamous Stringdusters and Trampled By Turtles, as well as invite newcomers from across the musical spectrum, like Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Dark Star Orchestra, Galactic and more.  

The 29th Annual Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance will take place Thursday, July 18th - Sunday, July 21st at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds in Trumansburg, NY. Featuring over 75 carefully curated bands on 4 Stages over the course of 4 Days - our festival is designed to dazzle you with diversity rather than wow you with big names. The annual Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender presented by Muddy Roots Music will take place from Thursday, May 23rd until Sunday, May 26th in Nashville, Tennessee. The Lawrence Busker Festival will be taking over the streets of Downtown Lawrence, Kansas for its 12th year over Memorial Day weekend. So, I’m breaking out my camping gear - cleaning out the tent, waterproofing it, freshening up the sleeping bag.  It’s the weekend before Summer Camp Music Festival! Recently, I caught Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Twiddle on the Road to Red Rocks, and they were on fire! Twiddle is new to me. I really enjoyed the vibe going on between these two east coast bands.  They both are playing Summer Camp festival on a seemingly relentless touring schedule.

The sun painted the final day of the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival in bright colors as puffy clouds floated about in the sky like cotton balls. It was a picture-perfect afternoon as the sold-out crowd began to fill the Tom Lee Park shortly after the gates opened. The music started early with the happy go lucky sounds of 24-year-old Memphis native Healy. The upbeat singer mixes musical genres like a Long Island Ice Tea of music.
