Today, Grammy-winning band The Mavericks release the lyric video for their country-soul-meets-R&B single “Look Around You” feat. Maggie Rose, a highlight from their new album Moon & Stars. Bandleader Raul Malo, who was called “the Roy Orbison of our time” on NPR’s Alt.Latino, recently spoke with NPR’s Weekend Edition about the new record and the origins of the band’s varied influences.

The Sandy Beaches Cruise has announced the initial line up for the 2025 voyage, welcoming an incredible line-up of artists that represent an array of American roots music. The seven-day trip will take place on Holland America’s beautiful Nieuw Amsterdam which departs out of Fort Lauderdale, FL on January 12th, with stops in San Juan, Puerto Rico and St. Croix, USVI before returning to Ft. Lauderdale on January 19th.
Hot, dry summer winds buffeted a sold-out audience at the Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles on Saturday, August 14th. The occasion was a night of Latin flavored rock featuring the Los Angeles-based Los Lobos and the Miami flavored Tejano group, The Mavericks.
The 22nd Annual Rhythm & Roots Festival will feature alt-country band, Son Volt on Friday, Aug. 30, fan favorite, The Mavericks on Saturday, Aug. 31 and acoustic rockers Railroad Earth on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Seth Walker has announced a U.S. tour this spring in support of The Mavericks. The 24-date run comes in support of Seth's latest album, Time Can Change. With dates spanning from coast-to-coast, the tour begins March 15 in San Antonio, TX and continues through April 20 when it concludes in Verona, NY. The shows are the latest in a series of collaborations between Seth and The Mavericks' frontman Raul Malo.
