Bay Area band Beats Antique has announced a new music video for their song “Le Refuge.” The video features footage from Richard Wolf’s acclaimed documentary “A Requiem for Syrian Refugees,” which the New York Times called “powerfully direct.” The footage was edited by the band’s own David Satori.
In conjunction with the video release, the band has launched a limited-edition shirt to raise money for the Refugees Welcome campaign. The shirt was designed by Matthew Fleming, and all proceeds after costs will go to Mercy Corps for refugees affected by the conflict in Syria. The shirts will only be available for a limited time here.
As David says, “the Refugees Welcome campaign is about opening our boarders to victims of war. We are all in this together and hope the US can be a safe place for refugees to come.”
The band will also tour this spring and summer; see below for dates.
The band’s most recent album Shadowbox is out now.
