Cloud 9 Adventures has announced the initial lineup and new details for the annual destination concert vacation, Dominican Holidaze, held December 1-5, 2016. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Holidaze, the four-night all-inclusive event is returning to the beautiful Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa and expanding to include its brand new neighbor, Now Onyx Punta Cana. With the resort expansion also comes a fully loaded lineup, featuring host bands Umphrey’s McGee, The Disco Biscuits, and STS9, each performing two full two-set shows on the beach, plus an additional sunset show. The lineup is rounded out with the addition of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Lotus, Lettuce, Shpongle (Simon Posford DJ Set), and The Floozies, all playing one show on the beach. Additional late night and poolside artists will be announced soon, bringing more music to the experience than ever before. Guests will be able to move freely between the two resorts, maintaining the intimacy and community that makes Holidaze so special.
Elevating the experience, Dominican Holidaze offers fans the rare chance to mingle with artists and fellow fans from around the world, while enjoying the many luxury accommodations that Breathless and Now Onyx have to offer. Going beyond the main stage, Dominican Holidaze hosts a variety of tailored activities that will include daily yoga, a wide variety of artist-hosted interactive activities and workshops, an autograph signing, poolside competitions, beach games and theme nights. Dominican Holidaze has again partnered with the charitable organization Positive Legacy, whose mission is to integrate live music and service by taking actions that positively impact local communities and the environment. Last year, Holidaze fans joined the Positive Legacy Team in nearby village of Veron for a Day of Service and Celebration. Spending the day with the children of the community, the Positive Legacy crew checked out the reef restoration project that the Punta Cana Ecological Center has recently launched, enjoyed snorkeling, a local BBQ lunch with live local music, and an educational tour if the sustainable projects on-site at the Punta Cana Ecological Foundation’s facility. The day of service focused on giving the community’s children an experience of music and environmental connections.
