American reggae music pioneers John Brown’s Body have announced the beginnings of a winter tour with shows scheduled up and down the East Coast. The ‘future roots’ band will begin their tour in Portland, ME, at Port City Music Hall and continue on to Higher Ground in Burlington, VT and then to the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. Joining JBB on all three dates are friends Pimps of Joytime.

There’s no doubt Colorado was the place to be this past New Years, and the three-night Umphrey’s McGee run at the Fillmore Auditorium was absolutely no exception. Night two of the stand featured plenty of bust-outs, sit-ins, and surprises that had the exuberant Denver crowd grooving from start to finish.
