December 2018

Congratulations to Austin bluegrass and Americana band Wood & Wire for their Grammy nomination today for Best Bluegrass Album! “North of Despair” came out in April of this year to rave reviews for its blending of bluegrass virtuosity and Texas songwriting tradition.

Congratulations to The Travelin’ McCourys on their GRAMMY nomination for “Best Bluegrass Album,” which was announced today on https://www.grammy.com/.

John Prine is nominated for three GRAMMY Awards including Best Americana Album for The Tree of Forgiveness and Best American Roots Song for “Summer’s End” (watch the official music video for “Summer’s End” HERE). Prine’s “Knockin On Your Screen Door” is also nominated for Best American Roots Song—earning Prine two nominations in the category.

In what has been a full-tilt year for this young rock'n'roll band from Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet sees 2018 capped off with its first ever Grammy Award nominations:  Best New Artist, Best Rock Song for "Black Smoke Rising," Best Rock Performance for "Highway Tune," and Best Rock Album for the band's double EP, From The Fires  (Lava Records/ Republic Records).
