Mempho Music Festival is proud to announce its 2021 music lineup taking place October 1-3, 2021 at its new home, Memphis Botanic Garden. The three-day event will feature a two-night headlining performance from rock titans Widespread Panic plus a headlining performance from folk-rock barn burners The Avett Brothers on the Adams Keegan main stage. Additional hitmakers covering the gamut of Americana, rock, and blues include Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Black Pumas, Lucinda Williams, and many more.
During this age of COVID-19, touring musicians across the land have been creative with the process of bringing music to their fans while maintaining some ability to generate revenue. Live video streams have been a ubiquitous way to accomplish both, and more recently pod-separated, limited attendance performances have emerged.
The Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra formed in Chicago, Illinois and offered its first public show on November 11, 1997, has performed 2997 shows since that time. The band today announces the return to its Windy City birthplace roots by hosting a pair of shows in downtown Chicago at Soldier Field.
