Closing out February, Fort Collins’ premier venue Washington’s brought back yet another living legend to the front range of Northern Colorado. Innovators of bluegrass and beyond, Sam Bush and his incredible band, consisting of Steve Mougin on guitar, Wes Corbett on banjo, Todd Parks on bass, and Chris Brown on drums, performed an extensive set that left many impressed, ecstatic, and in the end, exhausted but still wanting more.

In tandem with his North American tour kickoff tonight, visionary singer-songwriter-guitarist José González today releases the El Invento EP, the first in a series of EPs that will revisit the singles of his latest album, Local Valley. Included in this new offering is an airy, polyrhythmic remix by rising Peruvian artist Sofia Kourtesis as well as choral and dub reimaginings recorded by González himself.

Today, Sound Mind Live announces the fourth annual Sound Mind Music Festival for Mental Health, presented this year as a live, outdoor event at New York City’s famed Central Park on May 21 at 4pm. Featuring performances by Cold War Kids, Big Boi, American Authors, KAMAUU, Wrabel, and Allison Russell, the festival is hosted by comedian Gina Brillon. For the first time, the event will be livestreamed on TikTok.
