Collectively ten-time GRAMMY® Award-winning vocal group The Manhattan Transfer celebrates its 50th anniversary with a new studio album, aptly titled Fifty.  The set is physically released tomorrow, October 21, via Craft Recordings. Backline, the music industry’s mental health and wellness resource, gathered for the first time in-person last week to commemorate World Mental Health Day with a show at Brooklyn Bowl that featured music from indie-pop sensations MisterWives and joan. The sold-out show raised more than $25,000 to support Backline’s programming, which includes free individual and group mental health support for music industry professionals and their family members, as well as exclusive access to wellness modalities.

Artists for the Prevention of School Shootings and Youth Violence has announced a docu-concert @ City Winery in Nashville November 30, 2022 produced by In Plain View Entertainment. Proceeds will benefit Sandy Hook Promise (SHP), a national non-profit organization with a mission to educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes, and communities.  SHP also advances school safety, and youth mental health at the state and federal levels through non-partisan policy and partnerships.[DL1]

More than 10,000 country music fans flocked to Surfers Point in Ventura, California, on October 14th for the Boots & Brews Festival. Western attire, including boots and hats, was the norm in the festive crowd. Country music superstar Tim McGraw headlined a lineup of 4 country music bands drenched in rock overtones. The festival had more of a county fair feel than just an ordinary concert. A large variety of gourmet food trucks greeted festival goers, as well as multiple beverages stands.
