The half way mark is a significant moment, especially during a five night run of contiguous shows by the same band. A sense of accomplishment can be felt by all after two outstanding nights of musical bliss. Goose reached that milestone prior to their show last Friday, March 10, 2023, and like Ground Hog Day, the show was again for a sold out crowd at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.
By his own admission, George Clinton is a freak, and in the best possible way. James Brown may be considered the godfather of soul music, but the 81-year-old Clinton must be regarded as the Patriarch of funk. His legendary concerts are the freakiest mash-up of rock, jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop music that have endured almost as long as Paul McCartney has performed Beatles songs.
World-famous French Nordic folk collective SKÁLD released their highly anticipated third album HULDUFÓLK in January via Decca Records France / Decca Records U.S. (UMG). The songs transport listeners into the band’s mystical soundscape using traditional Old Norse instrumentation and language while sharing Scandinavian legends from poets and shamans of otherworldly beings, aka the “Huldufolk” (translated to “hidden people”), coexisting with humankind.

South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals announced Ben Affleck’s AIR, from Amazon Studios, Skydance Sports, Artists Equity, and Mandalay Pictures, as this year’s Closing Night Film, set to make its surprise debut on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Paramount Theatre.
Wreckless Strangers, Bay Area Americana troubadours noted for their prolific songwriting and energetic live shows, return to Marin County with a show at Peri’s in downtown Fairfax on Friday, April 7.
