Grahame Lesh, son of the legendary Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, is a gifted musician who has carved out his own space in the music world while continuing to honor his family’s rich legacy. A talented guitarist and vocalist, Grahame is perhaps best known as a founding member of the band Midnight North, among numerous other projects. Over the years, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including notable Grateful Dead alumni and musical icons.
Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue returned to The Capitol Theatre on March 8, 2025, as part of his Shorty Gras 2025 Tour. This show was the second night of a two-night stand. The band uniquely blended jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and rock, along with plenty of Big Easy swagger, to create a fun sound that resonated throughout the iconic venue.
On March 14, 2025, in celebration of Lesh’s 85th birthday on March 15, the corner of Westchester Avenue and Broad Street - right outside the historic venue - will officially be renamed Phil Lesh Lane. Broad Street holds special significance as home to The Cap’s “Door 12” stage door – the very entrance Lesh used for 106 performances since 2012 and the spot where his tour bus was regularly parked.

Grahame Lesh & Friends announce UNBROKEN CHAIN: A Celebration of the Life and Music of Phil Lesh, taking place at The Capitol Theatre on March 14 and 15, 2025. The event, hosted by Grahame Lesh, commemorates what would have been Phil Lesh’s 85th birthday and will bring together a remarkable group of musicians and collaborators to honor his enduring musical legacy.
Rising jam band artists Eggy and Dogs in a Pile co-headlined a post Turkey Day two night stand at the Capitol Theater. This was the first time that either band headlined this legendary 1800 person capacity venue, which has previously hosted both Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan. Both bands brought some serious A game on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Dogs In A Pile (DIAP), fresh off a two-night co-headlining run with Eggy at The Capitol Theatre, have announced their return home to Asbury Park, New Jersey, on Saturday, December 21. After making their Stone Pony Summer Stage debut during their tour with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco & The U.N. in May, DIAP will take the yearly holiday party to the indoor stage, continuing the tradition of celebrating a year full of marquee accomplishments.
Dark Star Orchestra is thrilled to announce that the Cosmic New Year’s Run just got even bigger! By popular demand, they’ve added two more shows to the celebratory run, returning to the legendary Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, on Friday, January 3, 2025, and Saturday, January 4, 2025.

A group of musicians, venues, artists, and influencers are joining forces with the American Cancer Society to show their support to those facing a breast cancer diagnosis by serving as ambassadors for this year’s Rock The Pink campaign, happening now through October.
