Since late last year, singer, songwriter and mandolinist Darren Nicholson has been revving up his solo career after his departure from Balsam Range, the award-winning quintet he helped to found some 15 years ago. Songwriting legend Beth Nielsen Chapman is back, announcing two new singles and a UK summer tour for August 2023.

A Life In Trade, the fifth studio album from Pierce Edens, is due September 15, 2023. Aptly positioned at the close of the record, the earnest lullaby draws the curtain on Edens’ most soul-baring work to date.

In a heavy-hearted announcement on June 23, 2023, we mourn the passing of a mandolin legend and celebrated musician, Jesse McReynolds, aged 93. His soulful melodies and intricate picking have made a lasting impression on the bluegrass scene, reaching into the heart of the Grateful Dead's extensive repertoire. His profound influence extended beyond the confines of genre, and his unique approach to the mandolin left an indelible mark on music history.
