A 14x Grammy® winner returns to his bluegrass roots today (Friday, June 23), as DAN TYMINSKI releases the anticipated album, GOD FEARING HEATHEN.
Released via 8 Track Entertainment and distributed by Warner/ADA, the project marks Tyminski’s first bluegrass album in 15 years – and his first ever album of original bluegrass compositions – in a “homecoming” studio set that starts a new chapter for one of the genre’s most celebrated contemporary figures.
Also taking the reins as producer for the first time, GOD FEARING HEATHEN finds Tyminski leading a new lineup of The Dan Tyminski Band and following up successes in Americana (Southern Gothic) and international pop (Avicii’s “Hey Brother”), injecting fresh energy into a classic art form.

Executive produced by Noah Gordon, GOD FEARING HEATHEN features 10 new songs in total – including a new, bluegrass version of the 1 billion+ streaming “Hey Brother” – which made its debut at #2 on the Bluegrass Today Chart. The new album is already receiving critical praise from across the media landscape … and across the globe.
In celebration of the album’s release, Tyminski will appear on the iconic Grand Ole Opry tonight (Friday, June 23), and hosts the official GOD FEARING HEATHEN album-release show at East Nashville’s American Legion Post 82 on June 28. Looking ahead, The Dan Tyminski Band will then spend all summer on tour, with a series of festival and headline dates scattered across the Eastern U.S. and beyond.
