Hardly Strictly Bluegrass announces a third round of performers for the 2024 edition of the festival to take place at San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Park from Friday October 4 to Sunday October 6. Now in its 24th year, the free music festival with over 70 artists performing on six different stages will once again present an eclectic bill of top performers spanning an array of genres.

Nothing’s like Zero. Forty years ago, guitarist Steve Kimock and drummer Greg Anton went into a studio and recorded what was to become the inception of the repertoire for the band Zero. As one of the innovators of improvisational jam band music, Zeroi s a Bay Area musical institution. The band has played more than 1,300 concerts across the country, being joined onstage by such luminaries as Jerry Garcia, John Cipollina, Derek Trucks, Martin Fierro, Nicky Hopkins, and John Kahn.

Today, the legendary jazz group The Bad Plus announces their new album Complex Emotions out November 8 via Mack Avenue Records, their first release with the label. Acclaimed California rock band Dawes have shared their new single, “Still Strangers Sometimes,” available everywhere now. Co-produced by brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith alongside longtime friend Mike Viola, the track marks the latest single from Dawes’ upcoming ninth studio album, Oh Brother, arriving on Dead Ringers via Secretly Canadian Distribution on Friday, October 11. Connecticut-based rock quintet Goose has announced the release of Live At The Fox Theatre, a recording captured over the band's three-night run at Atlanta, GA’s historic Fox Theatre earlier this summer, available now on all streaming services. A limited-edition 5-LP hardcover box set vinyl release of the June 22 performance – including five single jacket-colored LPs and an exclusive booklet – is available for pre-order.
