Aimee Mann, one of the most distinguished singer-songwriters of her generation, is set to perform at the Boulder Theater on Monday, November 11, 2024, with special guest Jonathan Coulton. Doors open at 7:00 pm, and the show begins at 8:00 pm.
Aimee Mann's successful solo career has spanned several decades, earning her critical acclaim, multiple Grammy nominations, and two Grammy awards. She has released nine solo albums, including the profoundly popular soundtrack for the film Magnolia, which garnered an Academy Award and Golden Globe nomination for Best Song in 2000. Time magazine has praised her skill, stating, “Mann has the same skill that great tunesmiths like McCartney and Neil Young have: the knack for writing simple, beautiful, instantly engaging songs.” Additionally, NPR voted her one of the “TOP 10 Best Living Songwriters” alongside legends such as Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen. Her 2018 release, Mental Illness, won her a Grammy for Best Folk Album.
Earlier in her musical career, Mann fronted the band 'Til Tuesday, releasing three albums. She has also made numerous memorable cameo appearances in films like The Big Lebowski and TV shows such as Portlandia and The Daily Show. Her latest release, Queens of the Summer Hotel, continues to showcase her exceptional songwriting and musical talent.
Tickets for Aimee Mann's performance at Boulder Theater will go on sale Friday, June 14, at 10:00 am. Tickets are priced between $40.00 and $50.00 for reserved seating, plus applicable service fees. VIP Packages are also available. This event is open to all ages (under 16 with an adult).
