Legendary Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, alongside Lerxst and Canadian innovator Godin Guitars, is proud to announce the launch of Grace, the newest addition to his signature guitar series. Grace is a contemporary homage to Lifeson’s famed Hentor Sportcaster guitars, which he used extensively during the recording and touring for Rush’s Grace Under Pressure album. With its high-quality craftsmanship, updated hardware, and advanced tonal versatility, Grace brings Alex’s original design into the 21st century for a new generation of guitarists. This limited edition of only 200 guitars is available now for a MAP of $3,999 via the Official Lerxst Reverb Shop.

An Evolution in Tone and Craftsmanship

Since the early days of Rush, Alex Lifeson’s innovative playing has been marked by a drive to push sonic boundaries. By 1984, the Hentor Sportcaster had become Lifeson’s preferred guitar, enabling him to achieve a balanced, versatile sound that adapted seamlessly across genres. Inspired by the red Sportcaster model with a distinctive mirror pickguard that Lifeson played during the Grace Under Pressure era, Grace offers the perfect blend of classic tone and modern playability.

Like its predecessor, Grace is designed with state-of-the-art hardware, including a contoured swamp ash body for comfort, a maple neck with a 12” radius ebony fretboard, and stainless-steel frets for a fast, intuitive feel. The guitar features an HSS pickup configuration with custom-wound Mojotone pickups to Lifeson’s exacting specifications, ensuring tonal clarity across all settings. Players can choose between a classic Floyd Rose tremolo or a Vega Trem system with 18:1 locking tuners for enhanced stability.

“This guitar is a tribute to my favorite instrument from that era,” Lifeson shared. “Grace honors the 40th anniversary of Grace Under Pressure, while evolving the concept to create a sound and playability that speaks to today’s players.”
