Ben Sollee is excited to announce that he will be performing at eTown's brand new facility, eTown Hall, on August 23rd, 2012 for an intimate evening of music and conversation. The concert will be taped in front of a live audience for future broadcast, and will also feature Australian songstress Missy Higgins. Sollee will perform songs from his upcoming release Half-Made Man, to be released on September 25th, 2012. Half-Made Man is Ben Sollee’s third full-length studio release, and will surely place him alongside the best artists of his generation. It features an impressive cast of musicians including Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket) on guitar, Abigail Washburn on guest vocals, Jordon Ellis on percussion, Jeremy Kittle (formerly of the Turtle Island String Quartet) on violin, and Alana Rocklin von bass. Half-Made Man is Sollee’s most raw and personal album to date; it explores the relationships connected to being a father, husband, musician and human. Fresh from a whirlwind run at the Newport Folk Festival, Ben turned heads of critics and music fans alike with live songs from his new album, as well as his diversity and stamina as an enthusiastic collaborator on stage. Ben not only performed his own set, but also sat in with My Morning Jacket, Apache Relay, Trampled by Turtles, The Head and The Heart, and Carl Broemel. Last month it was announced that Ben Sollee would embark on The Road From Newport: Ben Sollee on tour. on bike. - a week-long journey traveling on portions of the East Coast Greenway from Newport, RI to Portland, ME. Ben’s musings and photos were turned into a road journal and published on TreeHugger.com. For more information on Ben, including fall tour dates, please visit www.bensollee.com
