Some of the biggest names in Bluegrass will join some of its rising stars, performing on two stages during the inaugural Lake Placid Bluegrass Jam, Saturday, Oct. 25, in the 1932 Rink of Lake Placid’s Olympic Center.
Headlined by Grammy award winners Sam Bush and the Del McCoury Band, 10 bands, ranging from the traditional Bluegrass sound to the Newgrass style, will perform from 12:30-11 p.m. Doors open at noon and General admission into the festival is $55 in advance and $65 at the door.
Tickets can also be purchased for just $50, $5 off General admission, during Saturday and Sunday’s, Oct. 11-12, Flaming Leaves Festival, being held at the Olympic Jumping Complex, and during Saturday’s Brewfest held at the Olympic Center. And if people purchase tickets before Friday, Oct. 17, they will be eligible to win a ticket upgrade and/ or a Bluegrass Jam prize package.
