With anticipation building for this Friday's release of his new album Cesaréa, Charles Ellsworth has dropped a studio video for one of his new songs "Growing Up Ain't Easy" as well as the first batch of dates for his North America summer tour.
At track three on the album, "Growing Up Ain't Easy" is Cesaréa's first departure from the folk rooted sound of Ellsworth's past efforts. It acts as a stark contrast to the record's first single "Fifty Cent Smile" and tells the listener there might be unexpected surprises in store as Charles channels his inner Tom Petty for a driving electric rock anthem. Shot during the band's recording session at Flying Blanket Recording the video offers a look at the blood, sweat, and shenanigans that go into making a record.
Charles Ellsworth's summer tour kicks off Thursday night (May 25) with an album release show at The Well in Brooklyn, NY. Then Charles Ellsworth will make his way west spending the next seven weeks playing music from one coast to the the other, and back again. A full list of tour dates and a stream of the "Growing Up Ain't Easy" studio video can be found at CharlesEllsworthMusic.com.
