The Cody Sisters Band from Colorado released their sophomore album White on The Blue on Aug. 31, 2018. The album features new original and emotional music such as “Umbrella,” and “Dallas”. The band members are Megan on Guitar and Mandolin and Maddie on Guitar and Banjo and Steve Cody on Bass.
The Cody Sisters Band has established themselves as a formidable force in the United States for fans of acoustic, folk, and bluegrass music. After releasing their new album in the UK in June, the band will be performing 2 hometown release shows in August.
At the young age of 15 (Megan) and 13 (Maddie), the Cody Sisters have been playing professionally most of their lives. They have found their passion in creating new music with their award winning instrumentation, their stunningly emotional original lyrics, and their beautiful sister harmonies. Seeing them is quite an experience, they fuse many different influences and genres, it’s often difficult to define them. The experience blends Americana, Gypsy Jazz, Folk, and Modern Bluegrass together in a completely unique way creating a Modern Americana sound.
They have become one of the true acoustic treasures from the Colorado Bluegrass and Folk Circuit today with a strong following in the US and the UK. Their beautiful harmonies, incredible instrumentation, and original lyrics coupled with the stories their songs tell make them one of the most unique bands currently performing in Colorado.
