Naya Records proudly announces the release of the second single from its highly anticipated “Higher Education” album, titled “Come With Us,” by the acclaimed Naya Rockers and legendary reggae artist Clinton Fearon. Set to be released on July 19, 2024, this track encapsulates a soundscape of acceptance, inclusion, and joy, with Clinton Fearon's soulful storytelling shining through the poignant lyrics that speak directly to marginalized and underprivileged communities.

The majority of the proceeds from the “Higher Education” album will support music education programs at the Alpha Music Institute in Kingston, Jamaica. Fans can pre-order the album on vinyl here.

“Come With Us” is the result of a collaborative effort by several talented musicians and producers. The Naya Rockers, a musical collective with over 30 years of experience in the reggae sector, lay the foundation with their instrumental expertise. The band includes Dennis Brown, Toots and the Maytals, Producer Nathan Sabanayagam on drums/percussion, Co-producer Nate Edgar on bass, Andy Bassford on guitar, Cameron Greenlee on keys, and Alex Beram on Akete. The riddim was recorded alongside engineer Wade Koeman at Floki Studios in Iceland.

Clinton Fearon, known for his masterful vocal delivery, penned and recorded the lyrics with Pete Remine at Dub Train Studios in Seattle. In Boston, horns were added by Mark Berney on trumpet, Dan Delacruz on saxophone, Brian Thomas, and Alex Beram on trombones, recorded at Chillhouse Studios with engineer Will Holland. The song then traveled to Kingston for overdubs with Earl "Chinna" Smith on guitars and percussion. Stephen Stewart added a keyboard and mixed the song at Tuff Gong Studios with Michael “Boxy” Howell. The final mix was mastered by Jason “Jocko” Randall at Capture Studio in Syracuse, NY.

“Come With Us” is characterized by its rootsy, funky feel, creating concrete images and conjuring real human experiences. This track marks the second collaboration between the Naya Rockers’ roots riddims and Clinton Fearon’s vocal prowess, following their 2022 release “Guiding Star.” Emphasizing musicianship, lyrical depth, and classic recording techniques, this single is a testament to the timeless quality of their combined artistry.

In Clinton Fearon’s own words, his dedication to the song is “to those who have lost their way, offering a path back to goodness and peace, to the way the world is supposed to be.”

“Come With Us” will be available on all streaming platforms starting July 19th. Pre-save now: https://ffm.to/come-with-us.OPR
