DJ Darkstar Dan is back, ready to keep the party going into the wee hours after DSO & JGB at the Greek on Saturday July 13th. Darkstar Dan weaves together live dead shows for an unforgetable dance party experience, as featured at Jerry Day 2023 & 2024 in Oakland. Mr. Hat Presents a DSO afterparty at the eclectic Art House Gallery & Cultural Center with DJ Darkstar Dan! Come on down to 2905 Shattuck after the Greek and dance to the Dead til the wee hours. Its a "potluck" dance party, all ages welcome.
DJ Darkstar Dan hosted and DJ'd the original Bay Area Grateful Dead Night, starting in 1992 at Nickie's. Mixing up live tracks from different eras of the Dead, based on the energy and vibe of the event and space, he soon gained a Deadicated following. Darkstar Dan recently performed to thousands at the Oakland Coliseum Treehouse for Jerry Garcia Night 2023, and will be back again this year.
Come on down to the eclectic and psychedellic Art House Gallery & Cultural Center and dance with DJ Darkstar Dan- 10 pm til 2. Darkstar Dan originated the Bay’s Grateful Dead night at Nicky’s in 1992 in the Haight. He has been granted access to the fabled VAULT & uses it well.
