Dirtwire, the genre-bending, world-instrument-wielding trio of Californian musicians have released their newest single, “Cannonball”, available now everywhere you stream music (fanlink.to/dirtwire_cannonball). The song plays tribute to the western influences on Dirtwire’s sound, with a sprawling bassline that carries the song as it traipses through the dusty American backcountry.
 
To Dirtwire, “Cannonball is a dirty cigar box, harmonica, violin, whamola, blues-beat-stomper that tells the story of a love you just can't kick, but you're not sure you even want to. You know you should, and so you try to leave em, but you cant cause its too good and then you're just like ah screw it let’s go catch a movie."
 
“Cannonball” is the second single off of Dirtwire’s newest album, Electric River, set for release on October 18th (pre-order here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/dirtwire/electric-river). The album explores Dirtwire’s ritualistic practice of taking psilocybin mushrooms and conjuring musical transmissions from other dimensions. Their music is a collaborative celebration of the planet’s musical diversity, a testament to the power of music to reach across barriers as well as a powerful call to get up and hit the dance floor.
 
The most potent of Dirtwire’s artistic prowess is evident in their live shows, a spectacle that matches the undeniable energy of their music to a 3-D experience.
