Eclectic band ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) has released their new dance-infused single “Space Between Frames,” from their forthcoming album Frames (out April 4th via Brushfire Records). With its retro groove and rhythmic guitar riffs, the deeper message behind “Space Between Frames” is a crucial reminder during these fast-paced times to hit pause and take inventory.
“So often we find ourselves trapped in a warp-speed life with frames of information coming at us faster than fire, “ says Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, who penned the track. “Some of it’s inspiring and some of it’s scary, but it’s all so rapid paced that it can feel impossible to keep up. The space between frames is about finding that quiet place without so much noise, where we can actually reflect on what we want to be and what we want to offer the world.” Listen to “Space Between Frames” HERE.
Frames contains 10 new songs overflowing with ALO’s fusion of rock, alt-pop, R&B, folk, dance, funk and a touch of subtle wit, all played by an exceptional group of musicians with four distinct musical personalities - all of whom write and sing lead. Much like “Space Between Frames,” the constant theme running throughout Frames is a reaction to the rapid pace in which we live our lives. The easy-going first single, “Blank Canvas” offers some much-needed optimism by encouraging us to leave cynicism behind. The beautiful “Warmth Of The Night” is an ode to love and devotion with the understanding of what is truly important. The light-hearted album closer, “Friends,” leans into the joy and simplicity of good friendships, and how vital those human interactions are to happiness.
ALO is Steve Adams (bass/vocals), Zach Gill (keyboards/vocals), Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz (guitar/vocals) and Ezra Lipp (drums/vocals).
