Eminence Ensemble announced the beginning of a new chapter as they welcome Dylan Gleit. This is a bittersweet time for the players as they part with Taylor Frederick, who joined the band in 2016. Frederick made many great contributions to the band during his tenure and is an incredible talent, but the addition of Gleit on guitar will allow Eminence Ensemble to grow and enhance its sound.

Gleit is a musician, audio engineer, and producer from Long Island, NY. He got his start in music through the School of Rock Allstars program during his high school years. After studying Mechanical Engineering at Duke University, Gleit moved to Brooklyn, NY to pursue music full time. He spent the past two years touring nationally as a multi-instrumentalist with psychedelic-indie rock outfit Ritual Talk and prog-jam group Dive Brake and has graced the stages of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Hangout Music Festival, and Gathering of the Vibes Festival, among many others.

In late 2018, Gleit joined forces with actor/environmentalist Adrian Grenier and musician/audio professional Jay Goodman to open Safe & Sound Studios, an audio production facility in Brooklyn. There, he worked as a recording, mixing and mastering engineer for various rising artists in the New York City area. The business eventually partnered with LA-based creative audio company Safari Riot: Noise, where Gleit worked on a variety of professional audio projects.

“We auditioned several guitarists over the past month or so and knew immediately that Dylan was our guy. He brings a ton of musical talent to the table and the decision was 100% unanimous for him to join us. Aside from his incredible skills on the guitar Dylan is also an accomplished horn player and we’re super excited about that possible addition into some of our tunes.” says lead Guitarist/Vocalist and founding member, Justin Neely. Gleit adds, “I am very excited to be joining Eminence Ensemble. I’ve been a fan of theirs for a while. Their approach to music and their unique sound is exactly what sold me and I can’t wait to get into the van and tour the country with these guys!”

“It was important to find someone who could honor our current sound but also bring a new flavor and vibe to the lineup. We are investing a lot into this band’s future and aside from the money it takes to elevate this talented group, we wanted to expand and elevate every aspect of the organization. We feel we are doing just that with many of the moves we have made and will be making this coming year.” says Jason Morris, the band’s manager. The band also recently hired Jordan Carriere as its booking agent and continues to work with branding and marketing firm Blooming Footprint to further enhance the organization.

While COVID19 has sidelined the entire music industry, Eminence Ensemble has been using this newly found time to re-load and write new music. The band will be back in the studio in 2020 and looks forward to once again getting out on the road and playing music, live in front of audiences as soon as restrictions are lifted across the US.
