American indie/jam quintet Goose launched their highly anticipated summer tour 2024 with a spectacular and unforgettable performance at The Factory, a brand-new music venue in St. Louis. The band's opening night was filled with musical highlights, showcasing their renowned improvisational skills and engaging the crowd from start to finish.
The evening began with a slow, melodic rendition of their beloved catalog staple, "All I Need," which was met with thunderous applause from the enthusiastic audience. Goose seamlessly transitioned into "Time To Flee," delivering a high-energy, soaring jam that left the crowd energized and eager for more. The band masterfully weaved back into the final chorus of "All I Need," before concluding with the fan-favorite ending of "Time To Flee."
Keeping the momentum going, Goose performed a concise version of "Mr. Action '' before launching into a jaw-dropping, exploratory rendition of "Borne," from their 2022 studio album, Dripfield. This epic performance of "Borne" lasted just over 31 minutes, taking the audience on a dynamic musical journey through several distinct sections of an extended jam.
Set 2 kicked off with an explosive "Yeti," followed by "Slow Ready." The band delighted fans with a cover of Sergio Mendes' samba classic "Mais Que Nada," adding a unique flavor to the setlist. Goose continued with "White Lights" and "Your Ocean," before closing the second set with a high-flying rendition of "The Empress of Organos," which featured an exhilarating jam that had the crowd on their feet.
After a brief break, Goose returned to the stage for an encore, treating the audience to a sweet and emotive cover of David Gray's "Please Forgive Me." The performance left fans buzzing with excitement for the rest of the tour.
Goose will perform again tonight at The Factory in St. Louis, before heading to Colorado for a pair of shows at Fiddler's Green Amphitheater in Greenwood Village, CO.
