As they prepare to kick off the summer leg of their "Live From Paradise!" tour, reggae-influenced alternative rock band Iration has released their new single "Chill Out" via their own Three Prong Records. The melodic rock track about self-love and acceptance is a nice reminder for the summertime to "chill out" and relax amidst today's mounting pressure to fit in and appear a certain way. "'Chill Out' is a song about feeling comfortable in your own skin," shares lead vocalist and guitarist Micah Pueschel. "So many people today are out there trying to be something that they aren't, and we wanted to make a song that tells people that it's okay to be you. It's okay to be different. As long as you accept yourself, you can always get through it."
Iration's headlining "Live From Paradise!" tour, their largest outing to date since the band's formation nearly 15 years ago, brings the aloha spirit and good vibes across the country with special guests Pepper, Fortunate Youth and Katastro along for the party. Following a successful spring run, the next leg of dates commences July 11th in Oklahoma City and brings the Hawaiian-bred, California-based band (Micah Pueschel [lead vocals/guitar], Adam Taylor [bass], Joe Dickens [drums], Cayson Peterson [keyboards], Micah Brown [guitar/vocals] plus touring member Drake Peterson [trumpet]) to Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City (July 19th at The Rooftop at Pier 17), Boston, Baltimore, Raleigh, Houston, Irvine (August 2nd at FivePoint Amphitheatre), Sacramento and Las Vegas, among many other cities this summer, before wrapping in their Santa Barbara hometown August 25th for Iration's first official headlining show at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Of the tour, guitarist Micah Brown recently explained to Billboard.com, "Every night we create a little bit of paradise for the people that are coming to the show. Live From Paradise was kind of a tongue-in-cheek term where every night, wherever you are, it's your paradise. It is a positive healthy way of looking at life."
This summer's shows will feature a mix of hits and rarities off Iration's six studio albums, including their most recent self-titled release from 2018, which Billboard noted, "stretches out for more than an hour without ever losing its captivating reggae-tinged vibes, which makes it an ideal accompaniment for the list of outdoor stages they'll headline this summer."
