Southampton based Americana/folk singer songwriter, Jack Francis, is an old soul. A performer who commands the respect of all who see him play, with his gorgeous tones and velvety voice that one cannot help but sink into. This latest single shows what a truly great craftsman of song and voice he is. He released his new single ‘A Little Love’ October 30th after it premiered on BBC Introducing.
Recorded with Archie Sylvester (Ferris & Sylvester) Jack begins, “We were referencing some 70s music for this track. Little Feat were a big inspiration for myself and Archie, so we went with a tight drum/percussion sound and wanted to get the feel of it just right”
With an admirable work ethic, Jack regularly ups sticks from his hometown of Southampton, and travels the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland, where his roots lie, playing basements, backrooms, clubs and bars blessing them with his unforgettable presence. His ability to command rooms into pure silence and admiration for his work is a spell crafted by Jack that any person will easily fall under.
Amongst U.K. and Ireland tours, there have also been big festival performances in recent times for Jack, who has appeared at Isle of Wight, Victorious and Stone Free festival at the O2 arena.
“I mean we all know great musicians and singers, but whatever that extra bit is, he has it”, said a recent radio show host, having had the pleasure of meeting, and seeing Jack Francis do what he does so masterfully.
An obvious Sofar Sounds favourite, with BBC Introducing already championing the masterful songwriter, accompanied with plays on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 show, Jack Francis glides into the next phase of his musical career with what is believed to be a “game-changing” song for anyone who is lucky enough to hear it.
“A Little Love” is out NOW and is available on all streaming sites.
