Just Announced: Les Claypool's Duo De Twang @ Fox Theatre

KGNU & Z2 Entertainment are proud to present Les Claypool's Duo De Twang at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, October 10th, 2013. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 7^th at 2:00 pm for $30.00 general admission. Claypool's Duo de Twang has been added to the lineup for Jam Cruise 12, January 4th-9th, 2014.

Leslie Edward "Les" Claypool is an American musician and writer, best known as the lead vocalist and in the band Primus. Claypool's playing style on the electric bass mixes tapping, flamenco-like strumming, whammy bar bends, and slapping. Duo De Twang is Les' most recent project with Marc "Mirv" Haggard, guitarist and singer for the San Francisco based band, M.I.R.V., founded in 1994.

On June 24, Round Records & ATO Records will release GarciaLive Volume Six: July 5, 1973 – Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders, the latest installment of the celebrated GarciaLive archival series. The three-CD set was recorded at the 200 capacity Lion’s Share club formerly located in the small town of San Anselmo, CA, just 20 miles north of San Francisco. The performance features Jerry Garcia performing with friend, mentor and legendary keyboardist/vocalist Merl Saunders. The duo is joined by drummer Bill Vitt and bassist John Kahn, who soon became a lifelong Garcia collaborator.
